The BRG along with colleagues from Rice University with Prof. Duenas-Osorio conducted drive-by data collection in Galveston, TX. The team put forward a tremendous effort and covered a lot of ground to capture 360 imagery across the island. This data will support multiple of our research efforts across the group.
Dr. Beck had the opportunity to attend the NHERI Rapid Facility Workshop at University of Washington in Summer 2025. She learned about many different reconnaissance tools and connected with many other early-career researchers!
Dr. Beck was invited to University of Michigan to give the Early Career Research Seminar in structural engineering in February. The trip to Ann Arbor was a wonderful opportunity to connect with new and old colleagues with potential for collaboration in the future!
Dr. Beck gave a talk at the NHERI Computational Symposium 2025 at UCLA in Los Angeles, CA. She presented on BRG work as a part of plenary session. It was a wonderful event to connect with many other natural hazards researchers!
